What We Look Like
An Organic and Fluid Mosaic

Movements are more “fluid” and “organic” than structured and organized. Yet within this mosaic environment, Alliance Youth has 3 very distinct working motifs:

Local Church-Based Ministries... the principal and most important motif of the Alliance Youth movement is found in local communities where Christ-centered, church-based, culturally relevant youth ministries are passionately committed to empowering students to experience God and expand His Kingdom. This is the core of our movement.

District Networks... the second working image is fleshed out through trans local networks (usually called districts) where youth workers experience ongoing community, spiritual development, the sharing of ideas and practical ministry training. Plus, many leaders within these networks synergistically pull together resources to plan strategic, momentum building ministry experiences for students—experiences which most local churches could not create on their own—creating a powerful environment for students to experience God and expand His Kingdom.

Because our movement is organic, each network will look and feel different. Some focus on coaching and mentoring, some on strategizing and planning, and others on prayer and partnership. Whatever the case, healthy networks are crucial in bringing cohesion and connectiveness to what God is doing in a region.

National Initiatives... the final motif flows out of the national leadership of Alliance Youth. Again, because a movement is fluid, our national leadership is not interested in dictating, managing or controlling local church ministries or district networks. Instead, we seek to champion the movement by enhancing what is happening at the grassroots to fan the flame of the movement.
